What is your role at Mycare?
My role is to help people along their Mycare journey to find the right person, whether they are a worker or a client, and enable them to have more choice in who they work with. My main role is to be at the end of the phone and solve people’s issues, whatever they may be! When needed, I also visit clients who require some extra help to resolve issues that can’t be dealt with over the phone. I am always happy to answer whatever questions people have, and love getting to know each of our users.
What drew you to work here?
I liked the whole concept of Mycare, in that we enable our users to have more choice in who they have supporting them, and who they are working with. I liked the idea of how we help people and make their life a little bit easier, because I really do enjoy being able to help. I also saw great potential in how much Mycare could grow and expand, as there is a real need for Mycare in the health and disability sector right now.
What does a great day look like?
Getting to work directly with people using the Mycare platform means I get a rewarding insight into their journey with us. There are a range of things that really make my day at work. These often include:
- Solving a caller's problems, either by visiting them or over the phone
- Helping workers to find work
- Matching a client with a worker
- Enjoying when a client loves the worker they found on Mycare.
These things make my day because I like enabling people to find the support and work they need, and it’s a rewarding feeling to know you have helped them.
What is the most important thing you would like people to know about Mycare?
Working in the Customer Success team we have a lot of people call up who think their questions might be stupid, but there’s no such thing as a stupid question. We are here to help, regardless of what your question or issue is!
I feel like an important thing to understand about Mycare is the idea that at Mycare clients can choose their own workers and decide who they want in their home and, conversely, workers can choose their own clients and decide where they want to work. This puts the power in our users’ hands. We are just here to help you on your Mycare journey to find the right person.
What is the most exciting thing that you are working on?
Working on building the Korean community on Mycare is the most exciting part of my job for me. I want to build a large Korean community on Mycare so even people who don’t speak fluent English can find the help that they require. I am passionate about this because I am Korean myself and I am aware of the difficulties of finding care for people who aren’t fluent in English.
What hobbies do you have?
- I like playing soccer and going to the gym.
- I like listening to K-pop (Korean Pop Music) and both K-Hip-Hop and Hip-Pop.
- I like watching movies especially horror movies, but not alone.
