As the current COVID-19 situation unfolds, the team at Mycare are working to ensure our users remain up to date with the latest information.
At Mycare we do our best to stay connected with our community in whatever ways we can. While we can’t get out and about to events at the moment, we do still want to hear from and connect with you. We’ve come up with a few ways to keep connected with you, and help you connect to the rest of the Mycare community during the Alert Level 4 period.
Call us for a chat
If you’re feeling lonely or just want a chat with someone, give us a call during our normal working hours. We aren’t a helpline, but we understand that it can be pretty lonely being stuck at home, so want to let all our users know that we are here for a friendly chat if you need it.
We are available to call from 9am to 4pm weekdays. Alternatively, if you would rather us give you a call you can email email@example.com with the subject Check In, let us know what time best suits you, and we’ll get in touch as soon as possible.
Join a Virtual Coffee Group
It’s always nice to catch up with a few friends for a cup of coffee, tea, or whatever your drink of choice is. Why not take this opportunity to make some new connections, have a “catch up for coffee” and get to know each other.
We are looking at setting up some Virtual Coffee Groups using Zoom to enable our users to meet other people in the Mycare community and have a friendly catch up. If you would be interested in being a part of a Virtual Coffee Group, email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject Coffee Group. We will be in touch to work out what times work for you, then connect you to a catch up via a Zoom link that we will email to you.
What kind of things could you talk about in a Virtual Coffee Group?
- Where in New Zealand are you?
- What do you usually do in your normal daily life?
- How are you finding self-isolation?
- What has surprised you the most about self-isolation?
- Do you have any advice or tips for others about how to make the best out of self-isolation?
- What interesting stories have you seen recently?
- And whatever else naturally comes up in conversation.
Email pen pals
Maybe you don’t have great phone service or an unstable internet connection, but you would love to talk to someone outside of your bubble and make a new connection. Email email@example.com and we will get in touch with you about either connecting you to another Mycare user, or one of our friendly team and set you up as email pen pals.
