Can I use Mycare as a family carer?
Many family carers find Mycare to be a simple way to sort out the admin side of being a family carer. We sort out the weekly payroll and work alongside IF host companies to have an easy claims process.
It can be very helpful to use Mycare if you prefer there not to be an employer/employee relationship as the family carer will be working as an independent contractor and no one takes on the responsibility of being an employer.
How do I sign up on Mycare as a family carer?
1. Create a client/care organiser account. This will be for the person receiving care.
2. Create a worker account. This is for the family carer. When signing up as a family carer you do not need to complete the usual worker trust and safety verifications, unless you want to find other work on Mycare.
3. Let Mycare know, we will make sure your profiles are ready to go and set up to use your government funding.
4. In the client account go to the workers tab, and select Invite worker. Here add the email attached to your family carers worker account.
4. Start booking!
