Are workers insured?
For the benefit of our community, Mycare has arranged insurance for workers through Vero Insurance. The insurance policy covers Professional Indemnity and Public Liability. For each hour of work that a worker is paid through Mycare, workers have the benefit of the following insurance with Vero Liability:
- Public liability - up to $1,000,000 per claim
- Professional indemnity cover – up to $1,000,000 of annual aggregate cover
For all claims there is an excess of $1000.

Public Liability Insurance protects you in the event that accidents occur and a claim is subsequently made against you.
An example would be if a worker broke a valuable item while providing support in a client's home.
Insurance protection for claims for breach of professional duty or negligence resulting in financial loss.
What do I do if I think I have a claim?
If you think you need to make a claim please call the Customer Success team at Mycare on 0800 677 700. They will be able to provide you with advice about what you will need to do.
