Your Mycare Profile may be more important than your resumé, as users are not always solely interested in your work experience. They may be more interested in connecting with someone with similar interests and a compatible personality. Below are four suggestions for the type of information which will set your worker profile apart:

Your hobbies and interests
Mycare has a diverse community of people seeking support. Often, people aren’t simply looking for workers with experience but rather for someone they can connect with on a personal level. Of course, for certain jobs where nursing or personal care is involved, people will be looking for specific skills. However, there are plenty of listings on Mycare where clients or their families are looking for someone to be a companion. Then it is more important that you share the same interests with that person. For example, if a mum is looking for an independent contractor for her son to spend time with after school, she will be looking for someone who can relate to her son’s interests, such as bike riding, playing video games or watching his favourite rugby team.

Your availability
Make sure that your profile does have your availability correctly shown, as incorrect or incomplete information may mean you miss out on work.
